〔記者蔡政珉／苗栗報導〕泰安鄉公所行政大樓新建工程於去年7月底動土，獲得內政部健全計畫補助約5500萬元及公所自籌2300多萬元，將遷至南洗水坑，苗栗縣長徐耀昌今前往視察工程進度。
原泰安鄉公所辦公大樓設置於清安村洗水坑使用迄今，而新建的行政大樓樓高4層，樓板面積約757坪，其中一樓作為室內停車場使用，再利用階梯串聯二樓入口大廳，建物融入綠建築節能概念，並展現泰雅與客家在地文化風格，象徵泰安鄉主要族群。
泰安鄉公所新建行政大樓位於通往泰安溫泉區的交通路線上，除了期盼為周邊觀光產業及各原住民部落提供更完善服務，也希望能成為泰安鄉的新地標。
