〔記者陳建志／台中報導〕「抓到了！」大里區國中路的排水溝，十八日下午大雨過後，民眾發現整條排水溝被染成橘紅色，市議員張滄沂、夏田里長胡金鍊獲報到場察看，並通報市府環保局採樣，稽查人員順著污染源往上追查，發現是一家食品工廠違法排放廢水，雖初步檢驗沒有重金屬等毒物反應，但排放未經處理廢水已經違法，將依違反水污法開罰三萬到三百萬元。
初檢測未發現重金屬反應
市府環保局稽查大隊長羅文龍表示，前天下午獲報約四點廿五分到場，發現國中路旁溝渠呈現橘紅色，經採水初測pH值為六．五七在正常範圍，初步檢測也未發現重金屬等毒物反應，廠方坦承是清洗桶槽內殘存的甜辣醬並排入溝渠中。
