警方調查，48歲林嫌20日上午連偷2輛機車代步，行經瑞興商業銀行士林分行時臨時起意行搶，犯案後把贓車丟在劍潭路旁停車格，改搭計程車到光華郵局，把27萬元贓款匯入俞姓女友戶頭還債，再到光華商場以2萬3300元買了iPhone手機及腰包，甚至還到蘋果101旗艦店預購新機。
警方找到計程車運將指證，再從郵局存款資料查出林的身分，昨至林嫌北投老家查訪，林母當場打電話勸兒子投案，林嫌被警方移送時，還低頭掩面向母親道歉。
