〔記者蔡文居／台南報導〕億載國小五年級吳姓學童遭倒塌的竹棚壓死，吳童單親又是家中獨子，阿公、阿嬤及父親昨十分不捨、難過。
吳童的父親說，兒子是家中唯一的孩子，他當天接到學校通知的電話，小孩就已斷氣了，讓他無法接受。
吳姓學童與阿公、阿嬤及父親同住在安平的一間公寓，父親是板模工，家庭環境不是很好。因單親，吳童從小是由阿嬤帶大。阿嬤十分不捨，對竹棚壓死人感到不解，「怎麼可能壓死人？」她說，我們是做板模的，板模都壓不死人了，何況是竹棚。
吳童的阿嬤邊拭淚、邊出示手機內小孩燦爛笑容的照片說，小孩是從小她帶大的，好好的一個人：「難道不會不捨嗎？」「你看！笑得這樣，照片才這幾天拍的，就看不到人了…。」阿公也說：「一個小孩早上好好的，歡歡喜喜的，結果…。」
