台南市學甲區達明社區發展協會理事長李合順、總幹事李建利自籌經費購買白米與八十五度C餐點，致贈社區三十戶低收入戶、弱勢家庭以及獨居老人，並訪視該里弱勢家庭以及獨居長者，讓長輩們能感受到人間處處有溫情。
該發展協會有鑑於此，對社區弱勢民眾甚表關懷，除結合慈善團體與個人提供物資抑或自行籌募經費購買民生物資，發放給弱勢家庭與獨居長者，平時即結合媽媽教室、社區志工等訪視以及協助住家環境清理，與長者噓寒問暖保持良好互動。
達明社區發展協會總幹事李建利表示，該社區位處偏鄉農村部落，經濟蕭條，年輕人紛紛到外謀生，社區人口老化，行動不便者則為獨居在家裡乏人關照，顯得落寞，為此，社區發展協會定期訪視慰問獨居長者。
