嘉義市發生一起貨車連環撞，貨車駕駛疑似因為天雨路滑不慎失控翻覆，貨車一路滑行，撞倒停放在路邊的兩輛機車，讓附近民眾嚇一大跳。在嘉義市林森東路上，一輛藍色貨車整個側翻在路面滑行，直到撞上停在路邊的兩輛機車後才停了下來，附近居民嚇得躲進屋內，讓人看了捏把冷汗。
貨車駕駛後來被消防人員救出來，他全身多處被玻璃碎片割傷，幸好意識清楚沒有生命危險，消防局提醒民眾，最近南部午後常下起大雨，容易造成天雨路滑，請用路人開車時，放慢速度避免發生車禍。
