陳致中指出，兩天前自己在故鄉台南麻豆人氣鼎沸的文旦節，看到賴清德與鄉親父老的親切互動，賴相當熱情關心旅高同鄉，在致詞中還有關心他的父親前總統陳水扁。
陳致中說，賴清德具有資深立委及行政首長民選歷練，與基層沒有距離，如今大台南的父母官將執掌中央內閣之舵，這是台南子弟共同的光榮，最後他於文末指出，「我們殷殷期盼全新的賴內閣可以真正聽到基層鄉親的心聲並具體轉化為政務推動，如是，這是台灣人民共同的幸福」。
