南投受到大雨侵襲傳出不少災情，埔里境內出現土石泥流，民眾受困，趕到的員警，二話不說就冒險涉水，背著民眾逃離；另外狂風暴雨導致草屯一座大型廣告看板傾斜，眼看就要壓到下方車輛，路過的員警徒手撐住看板，讓民眾有時間撤出。人民保母在天災中即刻救援，讓民眾都豎起大拇指稱讚。大風大雨，廣告看板被吹到傾斜，眼看就要壓到下方車輛，兩名員警一個箭步衝上去，冒著風雨爭取時間，讓下方車輛有時間趕緊開出維修，所幸路過員警反應快，沒有造成傷亡。
