〔記者蕭玗欣／台北報導〕台鐵今天下午一輛123次自強號列車，今天下午1點半左右行駛在苗栗=竹南間東正線宜春路平交道時電車線斷掉、123次集電弓故障，經現場人員處理後在下午1點57分西正線恢復供電，目前以西正線單線行駛，至於事故原因及責任歸屬行保會仍在調查當中。
台鐵說明，123次列車旅客將改由2183次列車接駁，台中運務段已準備600份礦泉水，在豐原、台中站發送給123次旅客並致歉。該起事故截至下午3點半為止，共影響13列次、370分、旅客約4000人。
