〔記者花孟璟／花蓮報導〕螯足特化成類似網狀的「刺足仿匙蝦」，是台灣數量稀少的洄游性淡水蝦，擁有如天然木紋般的外型，被水族館業稱為「網球蝦」。林務局花蓮林區管理處二○一八年開始調查花蓮豐濱鄉加塱溪的溪流生態，在溪中發現網球蝦的蹤跡。
林務局表示，網球蝦繁衍的自然環境須有健全的洄游生物生態系，基礎物種夠多才能讓網球蝦有足夠食物，「買回家養往往很快死亡」，不建議水族愛好者飼養。
花蓮林管處表示，據加塱溪的生態資源調查，二年來發現十種魚類、七種淡水蟹、廿一種淡水蝦，其中網球蝦因為木紋般外型及特別的可濾食螯足，在水族館偶爾可以見到。
此外，林管處也表示，「刺足仿匙蝦」擁有兩對特化成扇形網狀的螯足，八個半圓形的扇子可以組成四個橢圓形網，可在急流中捕捉小生物，在台灣東部、南部地區的野溪可以見得到。
