豐田遭撞擊後失控打橫在路中央，隨即遭小貨車從後方猛力追撞，夾擊兩車之間，車身嚴重變形，導致車內副駕駛座王女及右後座尹男當場失去生命跡象，經送醫搶救後仍傷重不治，駕駛王女（45歲）則頭部外傷；另貨車駕駛鄭男（41歲）腿、胸部擦措傷、乘客劉男（26歲）左腿擦傷。

豐田轎車駕駛王女向警方供稱，她與死者王女是姊妹關係，平時感情要好，昨晚與姊姊、乾弟北上參加餐會，事發當下準備趕返台中，卻不幸遭遇橫禍，讓她相當自責。
