〔記者蔡政珉／苗栗報導〕苗栗縣苑裡鎮房裡里義渡運動公園，被民眾發現遍地雜草叢生，有礙觀瞻，呼籲苑裡鎮公所盡速清理，並能定期清理維護。苑裡鎮公所則表示，將派員前往清理，保持義渡公園的潔淨。
苑裡鎮公所強調，針對義渡公園環境因雜草蔓生髒亂，鎮公所會盡力改進。對於民眾反映期盼鎮公所定期派員前往清理，鎮公所則說，目前鎮內主要公共設施都固定三個月派員清理雜草，惟相關標案尚未標出，所以動作較遲。
義渡運動公園近期雜草不斷冒出，有民眾前往運動形容說「前往義渡公園散步，不停撞到雜草真的很無奈」，而且不只一、兩處。
地方人士直指，鎮公所應該定期派員前往公園整理、巡視，雜草蔓生有礙觀瞻，就連從平面道路走上義渡公園的階梯都是雜草，民眾甚至調侃說，苑裡鎮公所是想把義渡公園打造成山林古道，階梯滿佈雜草比較有山林風情嗎？
