〔記者劉濱銓／南投報導〕連接南投、彰化2地的139線，近期頻傳死亡車禍或重大事故，彰化市、花壇鄉2公所還為此聯合舉辦路祭，惟路祭後沒多久，同一路線的南投段，卻接連發生大型貨車連環撞車禍，引發南投是否也要舉辦路祭的討論，對此，民俗專家廖大乙表示，路祭都辦過了，再辦恐增加民眾恐慌，不如加強道路警示與道安設施，反而比較實際。
廖大乙說，路祭已經舉行過了，應毋須再辦，避免穿鑿附會，或造成用路人行經「心驚驚」，現在反而應回過頭檢視道安設施，如強化警告標示，提醒民眾下坡路段減速，小心駕駛等，應會比較實際。
若以宗教角度來看，則可設置「石敢當」鎮煞，用路人只要經過看到，就會有所警覺，進而達到減速慢行的目的。
