「好奇怪的大番薯！」宜蘭縣壯圍鄉壯六社區農友趙金城的地瓜田裡，長出重約十公斤的大番薯，且形狀激似「母雞」，村民打趣說要拿去燉香菇「雞」湯。
大番薯長約四十公分、寬約十五公分，有人稱「你家的田太肥了」，有人發現番薯狀似有雞冠也有豐羽的老母雞；趙金城索性在尾部擺上幾顆雞蛋，增添母雞神韻。
壯六社區發展協會理事長張秀屘笑稱，許多村民第一次看到這種怪番薯；這隻「母雞」預計廿二日到古亭國小展出，結束後再料理成「雞湯」，分享給社區長者。（記者張議晨）
