宜蘭蘇澳鎮公所為傳承民俗文化，9月20、21日辦理「盪鞦韆文化傳承課程」，安排鎮內3所國中及8所國小，共約250名學童分梯次參與體驗。而一決高下的鞦韆比賽則是於22日下午5時登場，踢中銅鈴次數最多者可獲1萬2千元獎金，鎮長陳金麟歡迎各路好手現場報名拿獎金。
鞦韆要怎麼擺盪才能拿冠軍？曾獲長青組冠軍、最高紀錄3分鐘曾踢中16下銅鈴的簡金和說:「最重要的是腰力，每1次施力，膝蓋微彎，用腹部及腰的力量去擺盪。」
蘇澳盪鞦韆比賽於22日下午5時在蘇東里長壽堤坊（蘭陽隧道白米溪旁）登場，社會公開組冠軍獎金1萬2千元；亞軍獎金8千元；季軍獎金6千元；殿軍獎金4千元並各頒發獎盃一座，5至10名各頒發獎金3千元以資鼓勵。次數挑戰組：18至59歲者踢中一下頒發獎金200元，最多頒發將金2千元以資鼓勵。60至75歲者踢中一下頒發獎金300元，最多頒發將金3千元以資鼓勵。
