第2區養護工程處表示，上午進行八卦山隧道內西行線（即草屯往員林方向），下午進行東行線（即員林往草屯方向），時間預估各約15分鐘，演習期間將會管制車輛禁止進入隧道，籲請用路人該時段儘量避開該路路，配合演練，同時也能配合交通疏導管制措施。
