〔記者林宜樟／嘉義報導〕今年年底選舉，嘉義縣今天傳出首件賄選案，嘉義地檢署檢察官陳昭廷今天指揮嘉義縣警察局刑事警察大隊、水上分局及法務部調查局嘉義縣調查站，查獲謝姓市民為太保市某里長參選人及某市民代表參選人現金買票，里長1票2000元、市民代表1票1000元，共3000元買票，謝某坦承犯案，檢方訊後予以飭回。
檢、警、調今天帶回多人調查，謝姓市民於8月29日晚上，分別至王姓及龔姓選民住處，以里長每票2000元、市民代表每票1000元共3000元代價，向王姓、龔姓選民買票行賄，要求王、龔投票支持某里長參選人及某市民代表參選人，謝某分別拿出1萬8000元（6票）及1萬5000元（5票）給王姓及龔姓選民時，遭王姓、龔姓選民拒絕，謝某已觸犯公職人員選舉罷免法。
