〔記者李立法/屏東報導〕屏東長治鄉果樹班長徐英忠將蓮霧熬成餡料,搭配抹茶與麵粉,研製出蓮霧造型且吃起來有蓮霧味道的中秋月餅,頗具創意,為傳統農產品開發多元用途。

徐英忠說,吃膩傳統月餅,今年不妨試試新口味,他和班員研發的蓮霧月餅,少鹽低糖,而且原料純天然,不含人工香料及防腐劑,符合現代人的養生觀念,因純手工調製,十分耗時,想嚐鮮得先預訂。

他表示,今年許多農產品因產量過剩,導致價格崩盤,農民棄之可惜,不妨在加工方面多花點心思,針對節慶市場需求或消費者的喜好,研發有創意的食品,拓展農產銷路,蓮霧月餅便是在這樣的想法下推出。

不過,要將蓮霧熬成餡料得花5個小時,然後再包入麵皮塑形烘烤,10斤蓮霧能熬成的餡料不到1斤重,成本不低,目前1個50克重的蓮霧月餅,嚐鮮價要60元,徐英忠與班員明年計劃在蓮霧產期末或價格處於低檔時再購入,以冷凍技術為天然餡料保鮮,預訂專線08-7221580長治果樹14班。
