北市陽明山公園花鐘旁蔣介石銅像今年4月底遭人潑漆斷頭，相關單位才接回銅像頭部2周，67歲郭男、23歲林男竟又持焊槍、鋁梯等工具，企圖要再將銅像斬首，但遭巡邏員警發現後逮捕。士林地檢署偵查後，今依妨害公務等罪將2人起訴。
檢警調查，郭男與林男當時攜帶鋁梯、高溫噴槍等犯案工具，正在銅像後持焊槍灼燒蔣介石頸部，後來發現巡邏員警靠近，趕緊爬下梯子企圖躲在一旁花叢，但仍被員警發現；面對員警盤問，郭男與林男當場坦承犯行，並坦然地說「被你們發現也不能怎麼辦。」
起訴指出，郭男因今年4月底的「斬首」蔣介石銅像行為，5月26日已遭士林地檢署起訴，卻仍不知悔改，6月14日晚間又持工具再次前往陽明山國家公園，企圖破壞蔣介石銅像，2人罪證明確，由於該銅像為民眾捐贈，屬於北市工務局公園路燈工程管理處負責維護，依毀損罪、妨害職務上掌管之文書物品罪將兩人起訴。
