文章貼出後網友憤慨不已，紛紛痛批「惡質！」「實在很可惡！」建議被害人提告給他教訓。黃姓網友事後持影片報案，她向警方表示「雖然這是小案件，損失的金額也不多，但嫌犯囂張的態度令人不齒，實在應該給予懲罰告戒，盼警方能積極偵辦此案。
警方訊後依毀損案受理，並按被害人提供的影像展開調查，由於嫌犯步行前往、穿著輕便服裝，懷疑可能是當地居民不滿機車停放擁擠隨機破壞，同時也逐一清查附近精神異常人士，並請網友協助指認女嫌身份。
