近日南台灣因熱帶性低氣壓及其外圍環流影響，自22日開始連日豪大雨不斷，不少民眾的汽機車都有嚴重泡水的情形。警方表示，歷次水災後皆有業者大量低價收購泡水車，甚至結合竊車集團進行借屍還魂，以合法證件搭配贓車出售，從中賺取不法利益。
六龜分局表示，在雨勢稍緩後，便派遣同仁到六龜地區全面清查汽機車修配業、中古汽機車買賣等處所，宣導切勿收受來路不明的零件，並要求需依規定作買賣登記，以免觸犯收受贓物的罪嫌。同時，警方也利用家戶訪查時宣導市民防竊措施，而水災過後一個月內是竊車案件高峰期，將會針對可疑人車加以盤查。
六龜分局長楊川除呼籲，汽機車修配業者，買賣物品務必設簿詳實登記，若違反高雄市防治贓物自治條例規定，將可處以新台幣5千元以上、2萬元以下罰鍰。
