一名陳姓通緝犯12日16時20分許見到警察上門，猶如驚弓之鳥，立即竄入家中準備將門上鎖，但因行動不便，來不及將門上鎖就被警方追趕至屋前，卻立即逃往陽台，準備爬至屋頂，更大喊「會怕啦，不曾遇到這樣事情」最後仍被逮捕歸案。
警方循線至旗山區延平路附近查緝陳姓通緝犯，他立即竄入家中準備將門上鎖，還一度想爬到屋頂，經勸說之後，才從屋頂慢慢走下來，接受警方的查緝。
陳嫌雖非重刑犯，但逃逸行徑就是拿自己生命開玩笑，經警方勸導後，才坦然接受司法。員警也建議他可申辦社區勞役替代徒刑，以後也別再飲酒駕車，這時他坦言「一次就怕到了、以後再也不敢酒駕了」。
