〔記者丁偉杰／嘉市報導〕一位開賓士車男子今早10時許趕著要到嘉義地方法院出庭，行經新生路時，結果因車速過快，失控撞到路邊一輛轎車，導致轎車被往前推擠撞到「代天巡府嘉邑福安舘」廟前的一對石麒麟，左麒麟被撞倒、右麒麟移位，場面驚險，當時廟方正準備拜拜事宜，所幸沒有人員受傷。
警方獲報到場處理，肇事的賓士車男子表示將負賠償責任，現場做完筆錄後，又趕緊到法院出庭；廟方人員說，左麒麟被撞倒在地，有受損缺角情形，右麒麟整座移位，幸好沒有受損。
