王心妍在校學科成績不錯，她從小對美術有興趣，但追求夢想的過程相當辛苦，必須兼顧課業及術科學習，經常廢寢忘食，甚至得了胃潰瘍，所幸學校老師給予支持，並提供多元的學習資源，幫助她激發想法、發揮創意。
王心妍共錄取國立台灣師範大學美術系、台灣藝術大學美術系、台北市立大學視覺藝術學系、國立台北教育大學藝術與造型設計系及台北藝術大學美術系，其中前4所學校是榜首，但她選擇到北藝大就讀。
王心妍說，北藝大走當代藝術風格，與她熱情奔放及強烈的人格特質較契合，未來希望能繼續攻讀碩士及博士，在大學擔任教職。
