林園區紅樹林保育學會總幹事蘇文華表示，水母有可能是抽海水養殖而帶入，全身藍則不排除是基因突變；「仙后水母」中文別名為倒立水母，通常呈現白色透明狀，偶爾可見觸手出現藍色，為其抗紫外線蛋白質造成，連頭部都全藍的「藍色仙后」，倒是第一次看到。（記者洪臣宏）
