高雄山區近日雨勢不斷，6日上午南橫公路發生土石坍塌，一名洗腎婦人正要下山就醫時行車受阻，所幸公路相關單位獲報到場急將路面搶通，化解危機。因正逢上班時間，也造成不少山區居民短暫通行受阻。
桃源區長謝英雄上午5時30分左右接獲民眾通報，位於南橫公路93.5公里處發生土石崩塌，一名50多歲的洗腎婦人正要下山就醫，現場交通一度受阻，謝英雄到場了解，即通知公路總局甲仙工務段工程人員及消防局救難弟兄到場待命，約50分鐘左右，經重機具怪手挖動土塊，道路終於搶通，洗腎婦人也順利下山就醫。
甲仙工務段表示，現場調派機具清除落石及土石流，目前都已放通行，不危及安全，但仍提醒民眾，如非必要，這幾天儘量減少進入山區道路。
