由於對流雲系發展旺盛，中央氣象局（7日）下午4點半持續針對17縣市發布大雨、豪雨特報，雙北、桃園市、苗栗縣、新竹縣市、台中市、彰化縣、南投縣、雲林縣、台南市、高雄市、屏東縣、宜蘭縣、花蓮縣和屏東縣等縣市發布大雨特報，有局部大雨發生的可能，而在新竹山區以及嘉義山區，預警則是拉高到豪雨等級，要注意豪雨發生，以及雷擊跟強陣風。

截至下午4點半為止，新竹北埔五指山測站雨量已達113毫米，其次是嘉義竹崎鄉的獨立山測站達101毫米，新北的鶯歌也有89.5毫米的雨量。
