屏東地區近日山區大雨不斷，2日下午到牡丹水庫上游捕鰻失蹤的林姓男子，遺體中午在河道被救難人員發現，牡丹鄉等地方人士正全力協助家屬處理後事。
據了解，住在牡丹鄉的林男年約55歲，2日與友人到水庫上游段放陷阱及放置抓鰻魚的器具，下午3時許前往收取獵物時，一前一後行走渡溪的兩人，不慎被暴漲溪水沖走，同行有人發現同伴失蹤，緊急向警消報案。
消防局表示，牡丹鄉汝仍溪協尋案，5日12時10分牡丹分隊小隊長涂貴財回報，牡丹水庫管理員於水庫內發現疑似失蹤者，警消搜救人員會同水庫管理員下艇將大體帶至岸邊交家屬確認，13時00分家屬確認為失蹤者，現場交家屬及員警處理。
消防局2日至今日共計出動各式消防車輛28車次、救生艇3艇次、消防49人次，並協請當地熱心居民及威鯨救難協會動用空拍機協助搜尋。
