頭份後花園有老崎古道、松林步道、大同寺、慈母亭、楓香林、楓林吊橋等景點 ，從斗煥國小後方的錦春農場而上，視野廣闊，區旁還有儲水供應地方各戶井水的地下水源「羅埂埤」。
苗縣府文化觀光局向交通部觀光局爭取五百多萬元經費，增設休憩廣場等設施，將周邊興隆砲台、流東客家大院、永和山水庫等串連成觀光旅遊帶。
文觀局表示，遊客可搭乘苗栗客運五八一二路公車，於頭份總站發車後於「風爐缺」站下車。另，羅埂埤旁的駁坎下方為高鐵隧道，可俯看高鐵列車由下方隧道高速衝出的景致。
