清明連假首日，蘇花改及蘇花公路南下車流爆大量，創下單日2萬4000輛次的新高紀錄，今天北返車流增多，蘇花改每小時單向交通量約850輛次，逼近設計容量上限，公路總局第四區養護工程處交控中心啟動路口號誌管控，並請警方協助指揮疏導。
今天截至下午2點，蘇花改及蘇花公路蘇澳往東澳（南下）的車輛7126輛次，東澳往蘇澳（北上）有8150輛次，顯示北返車流已提前在連假第3天湧現，蘇花改平均時速維持50到55公里。
四工處交控中心表示，白天北返車潮要到晚間後才會纾解，明天下午將有另一波返鄉車流。
