一名民眾今晨7時許，在臉書貼照發文表示，「高雄市民鹽埕區大仁路新興街路口地基掏空」，提醒用路人改道。
警方指出，現場塌陷、龜裂面積約6平方公尺、深度近1公尺，一旁volvo轎車車身嚴重傾斜，差點滑進凹陷處。由於事發突然，一旁民眾見狀驚慌不已，一度受困的駕駛，趕緊棄車逃離，所幸並未傳出傷亡，加上今天是週末，較不影響多數上班族。
目前該處道路已拉起封鎖線，實施部分封閉，進行人車管制。市府相關單位獲報後，已派員趕往處理，詳細原因仍待調查釐清，初判疑為「地下箱涵老舊」所致，後續將開挖搶修。
