中正大學25歲的林姓碩士研究生24日晚間被發現陳屍在宿舍內，屍體早已僵硬、明顯死亡。據同學表示，林生3天前曾提及肚子不舒服，前晚還拿腸胃藥前往探望，聽見林生輕聲回應後，便離去。檢警及法醫25日上午到宿舍勘驗，了解死因。
嘉義縣消防局民雄消防分隊昨晚獲報，指出獨自居住在研究生宿舍的林生全身僵硬，倒臥床下，已失去生命跡象，因此未通報消防救護人員送醫。
研究生同學向警方表示，22日看見林生傳LINE告知肚子痛，與同學們一起拿腸胃藥去宿舍關心病情，離開時有聽見林生輕聲回覆，但看起來十分虛弱，為了避免打擾休息，之後就離去。沒想到昨晚10點30分左右，同學再次上門關心時，赫然發現林生全身僵硬倒臥床下，便趕緊報警。
警方趕抵現場調查，並沒有發現打鬥的跡象，死者身上無外傷，研判可能是因病死亡；檢警與法醫今早11點前往宿舍勘驗，了解死因。
