一名宋姓女子因聽到閻姓男友抱怨每天搭公車轉火車通勤上班很累，日前經過一處空地時，竟然偷走一輛機車，還騎到沙鹿區借給男友代步！機車主人發現愛車消失後，趕緊報案，而員警循線追查才發現竊賊竟是閻男的女友。
車主表示，機車停放在住家旁的空地，因自認在家裡沒問題，所以機車鑰匙沒有拔。豐原分局豐洲派出所員警受理報案後，調閱多處監視器察看，終於發現失竊機車的行蹤，才發現原來偷車賊下手時，車主家裡飼養的忠犬小黑有在狂吠警告，但女主人因看八點檔劇情太入迷，聽到狗在吠叫還是不為所動。
警方無奈的表示，日前案發地點附近同樣也發生過機車鑰匙沒拔，結果就被小偷騎走的案件；宋姓女賊當天要前往男友住處時，剛好看到有一部機車鑰匙沒拔就逕自把機車騎走，沒想到當時狗吠叫的很大聲都沒人出門查看，讓她輕而易舉的得手。
