死者身上找不到遺書及任何證件，第一時間無法確認身分，警方後續循線確認死者是62歲吳姓老翁，連忙通知吳翁前妻及兒子到場。前妻透露，兩人多年前離婚後，吳翁就獨自在外謀生，對於生活細節並不清楚，只知道經濟狀況似乎不太好。兒子則稱父親行蹤不定、也很少跟家人聯絡，如今只能辦妥後事，送父親最後一程。
