昨天正值立秋，但台北飆出卅八點五度的高溫，打破今年全台最高溫紀錄。中央氣象局分析，昨天高溫主要是受到大陸熱源以及吹較溫暖的西南風所造成，未來幾天不排除會更熱。
立秋是夏天過度到秋天的日子，但各地昨天熱呼呼，台北測站下午一點五十六分測到卅八點五度的高溫。根據氣象局資料顯示，這是台北站設站以來高溫紀錄第五名，歷史上台北測站最高溫則是二○一三年的八月九日卅九點三度，二○○三年八月八日卅八點七度次之。
昨天台東成功測站卅四點六度，也是該站今年最高溫紀錄。
氣象局分析，昨天高溫主要是大環境上方有大陸暖空氣，底層又有較溫暖的西南風吹拂，因此熱環境充足，高溫才持續往上升，台北加上都市熱島效應，溫度因而又比其他地方高。
氣象局指出，未來幾天仍然很熱，但是否再出現昨天的高溫還待觀察，但也不無可能，氣象局提醒民眾上午十一點到下午兩點都是最熱的時候，要特別注意防曬、補充水分。
