〔記者李忠憲／台中報導〕台中市消防局今天上午10點半左右獲報，往返台中、南投間的台21線16.6K處的彎道，有一輛大型重型機車自摔，57歲丁姓騎士摔落一旁深達4米的橋下，急需救援。由於位於南投交界，台中、南投兩地消防隊均派遣人車前往。搜救人員經用擔架吊掛，將受傷但意識清楚的丁男固定並搬上來後，送醫治療，初步沒有生命危險。
東勢警分局表示，與丁男同行的白姓男子供稱，他們2人當時從新北市出發，要到南投辦事情，結果丁男轉彎時為閃車，才會摔倒撞上護欄。
