一名31歲張姓男子日前因為無聊手癢，在醫院附近持空氣槍朝天空連開八槍，結果子彈擊破醫院7樓、8樓的玻璃窗，嚇得護理師以為是槍擊案報警，因此2小時候就被逮捕，訊後被依槍砲彈藥刀械管制條例函送法辦。
中市北區中清路一家醫院3月30日晚間7樓病房玻璃窗遭不明物體擊破，整面玻璃突然破裂，嚇得住院病人驚恐不已，同一時間8樓也傳出玻璃窗有彈孔，並有民眾大喊「有人開槍！」讓醫院不敢大意馬上報警。
警方獲報後立即封鎖現場，並查訪附近民眾，研判嫌疑人應是從對面路旁開槍，後來調閱監視器後鎖定張男，2小時後就將其查緝到案。
平日做工維生的張男到案後供稱，自己喜歡玩生存遊戲，當時是到醫院對面找朋友，一時手癢貪玩才持空氣槍朝天空連開八發，沒想到子彈不長眼，竟直接打中對面醫院的病房玻璃窗，強調「我不是故意的！」不過警方不採信其說詞，進一步將闖禍的空氣槍送刑事局做彈道鑑定，是否有殺傷力。
