〔記者蔡政珉／苗栗報導〕苗栗縣警察局通霄警分局局白沙派出所所長李慶富與警員胡建國，去年底逮捕徐姓男子竊取鋼筋，期間發現徐男之弟2年多前在工地施工時，不慎從鷹架跌落導致癱瘓，而徐男父母已經往生，只能依靠曾中風的姑姑協助照顧，李慶富與胡建國之後就默默關心，噓寒問暖，並聯繫各界協助。
通霄警分局並聯繫地方仕紳，有工廠大方購買1年份米券，讓徐男姑姑可以每個月到農會領取白米，不至於無米可炊。
