今上午八點半許，消防局一一九獲報漁光島有泳客溺水，消防、救生人員前往得知共有三名男泳客下水游泳，其中兩名泳客有游回岸上，但不見第三人蹤影，救生人員搜尋不久，第三名泳客也游上岸、表示自己一時游錯方向，讓一起海泳的友人與警、消人員誤會、擔心，覺得很抱歉。
觀光旅遊局表示，安平觀夕平台與漁光島海岸都是台南市府公告禁止游泳的危險海域，對於下水泳客，一般會由警、消人員勸導勿游泳，如泳客不聽勸導，可依相關規定裁罰。
