〔即時新聞／綜合報導〕花蓮昨晚11時50左右發生規模6.0強震，花蓮震度高達7級，花蓮吉安火車站附近的監視器，被拍到強震當下，遠處天空出現一道光，引起大家討論。
「台灣颱風論壇｜天氣特急」在臉書上發文並分享影片，指出強震當下的監視器錄影畫面，在16秒處出現一道「強光」，「是否是『地光』，還是電纜斷掉的火花，還需要近一步判斷」。
這段影片引起網友討論，有人認為，「地光是黃紅色的，這應該是電纜拉扯走火」、「應該是電線的光」、「地鳴的聲音很沉的牛吼聲，會毛起來的那種」。
地光是發生在地震發生時，受震動波及之區域上空所出現的光；地震光肉眼可看見，是一種自然現象。
