手機APP預報系統，有顯示地震規模6.4，也有說是規模6，震央在花蓮秀林，中部地區包括南投、彰化等縣市，震度都顯示4級，比前兩天的1或2級明顯搖晃。
有人說：「這一搖把921的恐怖記憶又搖出來了！」，也有不少網友在臉書報平安，還有臉書社團管理員也立即貼文，希望大家平安。
南投縣消防局表示，目前縣內無災情傳出。
