花蓮6日深夜發生芮氏規模6.0地震後，迄今餘震不斷，上午10時18分花蓮近海又發生芮氏規模4.4地震，11點36分又再傳出規模4.8地震，深度僅有5公里，位置在花蓮縣政府北偏東方15.2公里，花蓮大魯閣最大震度3級，許多人手機的國家級警報響起。
花蓮11點36分發生規模4.8地震，深度只有5公里，花蓮縣地區（太魯閣、秀林、花蓮市、和平、壽豐）最大震度3級、宜蘭縣、南投縣最大震度3級，台中市、苗栗縣、雲林縣最大震度2級；11點37分再傳規模3.7地震，深度只有6.1公里，位置在花蓮縣政府北東方14.5公里，緊接著在11點40分，又發生規摸3.9地震，深度17.8公里，位置在花蓮縣政府北偏東方25.3公里。
