此外，高捷統計今年1月每位旅客平均旅次長度為9.8公里，相較去年同期7.5公里、增加約30%，顯示實施大眾運輸免費政策後，吸引郊區較長程地方民眾搭乘，也改變民眾通勤習慣。
其中增幅最多3車站分別為青埔站53%、橋頭火車站41%及大東站38%，當月平日全天平均總搭乘運量，也較去年同期成長4.5％。
