警方初步調查，雙園大橋下方的一間民宅昨晚發生大火，新園、東港等消防分隊立刻動員大批人員前往灌救，火勢一度被控制，但因為屋內有不少易燃物，使得火勢又變大還延燒到隔壁房屋，所幸屋主都已疏散到屋外，而1名義消人員在火災現場灌救時疑遭到濃煙嗆昏，被其他消防人員救出後送往東港安泰醫院急救，有生命的危險，還在搶救中，起火原因將由鑑識人員進一步調查。
