大溪橋全長二八○公尺，整修總經費四六四五萬元，最後以三八八○萬元決標，大溪橋目前僅開放行人通行，到大溪旅遊民眾，可將車輛停在橋旁停車場，走過大溪橋後搭乘電梯即可到達大溪公園，是大溪重要觀光旅遊景點。
整修工程分成橋上、橋下施作，橋下作業包含橋墩補強、預力大樑補強、側撐鋼構補強，橋上工程則有錨座、鋼纜及吊桿除鏽上漆作業、橋面伸縮縫填縫膠更新、鋼纜及吊桿上的景觀照明更新，預估可節省十％電費支出。
養工處長劉軍希表示，大溪橋充滿巴洛克風格，在整修後，每逢特殊節日（母親節、情人節等）還會上演特色燈光秀，成為大溪最美的代表性風景之一。
